THE Deal to save the Crozer health system In the county of Delaware, in Pennsylvania, is on the verge of collapse.

A lawyer for a medical holding prospect, who has Taylor Hospital and Crozer-Check Medical Centertold judge on Tuesday that an additional $ 9 million supplement was necessary at 4 p.m. Wednesday for Keep hospitals openOr the prospect lawyers said they would pursue a closing request with the court for an ordered closure.

At this point, if this money does not spend, a lawyer told the judge that hospitals would continue from Thursday morning.

If the Crozer health system closes, patients would be transferred to other hospitals.

The judge was shocked by the absence of an agreement. She said that these hospital closings would mean a disaster for the communities they are used for Chester and in other Delco parties.

The prospect lawyer said that the hospitals remaining open had been a solid money loser and that everyone thought that a solution would have been achieved, but he underlined enormous complexities. Earlier this year, Prospect filed in bankruptcy.

The closure of the Crozer health system would mean more than 3,000 people in the network would lose a job.

Another hearing is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
