The IOCS-2025 meeting is an initiative of the International Ocean Color Coordination Group (IOCCG). It will be co-organized by EUMETSAT and the European Space Agency (ESA), with the support of the Copernicus program of the European Commission.
The meeting will focus on optical radiometry of all types of water, serving as a platform for dialogue and collaboration between the scientific community and space agencies. The goal of the conference is to advance ocean science and applications by providing space agencies with consensus recommendations that will inform Ocean Color developments, user services, and future missions.
The event will feature plenary and breakout sessions, interactive panel discussions, and poster presentations, all centered around the theme “The Color of the Ocean: Serving Earth System Science and Our Society.” .
