President-elect Trump’s electoral victory was a disaster for the left – their worst Electoral College result since Bush the Elder followed Ronald Reagan in 1988. But rather than accept it and try to move forward, leftists and Journalists who love them choose another option: flee.
Some want to run away from things that make them uncomfortable — like social media or media outlets they thought were friendly just days before — while others want to send in the Mayflower moving trucks. Either way, the new motto of the far left should be “Flee!” » in all its Glory of Monty Python.
Here are the five worst examples of the left achieving its own great escape:
1. Goodbye X, hello why
Leftists have been fleeing Twitter/X since Elon Musk first talked about buying it. People who abandoned Twitter ran to Threads and Mastodon and now the latest, Bluesky. Some of social media’s most memorable voices in favor of liberal lunacy have left the co-op and gone to the new platform. Actress Alyssa Milano, actor Mark Hamill, author Stephen King and former CNN anchor Don Lemon have all hit the bricks.

They were not alone. Some high-profile companies like 3M and Balenciaga have joined them, along with media outlets like the Guardian and the taxpayer-funded leftists at NPR. The Hollywood Reporter delivered the typical media assessment: “‘Bluesky Has the Juice’: Celebrities Flee ‘Toxic’ X for Rival Social Media Site.” (Yes, free speech is “toxic,” but a left-wing bubble is juicy. No bias at all.)
And as soon as they arrived at their new house, they complained that it was toxic too. Bluesky’s overworked security team posted this on November 15, during the exodus: “In the last 24 hours, we have received over 42,000 reports (an all-time high for a day). We receive around 3,000 reports/hour. To put this into context, over the whole of 2023, we received 360,000 reports. »
As Tim Curry sang on “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “‘Cause I saw blue skies through the tears in my eyes.” It seems that liberal tears will be the reality wherever they go for the next four years.
2. Run from MSNBC
Leftists aren’t just fleeing social media, they’re fleeing… MSNBC? The far-left channel suffered a ratings collapse as its viewers did their best impersonation of two of the three legendary wise monkeys – deciding to hear no evil and see no evil.
The Wrap reported that MSNBC’s audience “saw a 48% decline after the election.” Then there is the far-left panic network’s “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski met The Donald. The New York Post reported that the duo delivered “their lowest-rated program since 2021.”
And the crowd came for them too. Washington Post media editor Erik Wempe wrote, “Five reasons why Democrats should turn off ‘Morning Joe.’ Jen Rubin, disjointed left-wing columnist posted on Bluesky, “You can stop watching Morning Joe at any time.” A Salon commentary stated: “Morning Joe needs to go. » And journalism professor Jeff Jarvis also posted on Bluesky: “Hmmm. What else do liberals leave?…” above a screenshot of “Morning Joe” speaking defections from Twitter.
3. Running from MSNBC II
Viewers aren’t the only ones fleeing MSNBC. Its owners do the same. Comcast, which owns MSNBC, CNBC and many other cable channels like USA, SYFY and E!, is consolidating them into a separate company. But since they will not be part of the NBC Universal universe, the “news” channels could also lose their name. And who knows if NBC staff will still appear or not.
Host Rachel Maddow even agreed to cut her huge salary from $30 million to $25 million a year to maintain her failing network. The channel wanted to keep it, especially given the poor audience figures. One executive reportedly called it a “Viagra review.”

The only man who might turn to MSNBC might be the world’s biggest billionaire – Elon Musk. When Donald Trump Jr. suggested on Twitter “the funniest idea ever!!!” For Musk to buy the network, Musk’s immediate response was the same one he gave when first asked about buying Twitter: “How much does it cost?” The bosses say it’s not for sale. But maybe Elon will make them an offer they can’t refuse.
4. Leave the United States
Every election, a left-wing celebrity says they will leave America if their side doesn’t win. This election, someone followed. Ellen Degeneres, former talk show host and his wife Portia de Rossi decamped to Merry Ol’ England.
Of course, that barely touches the long list of celebrities who have said they would leave on a jet plane. These include actresses America Ferrera and Sharon Stone as well as artists Cher and Barbra Streisand. If they go, don’t expect them to suffer. The Biden-Harris economy has made it difficult for ordinary Americans to buy food, let alone move. Millionaire libraries haven’t been affected much.

5. Leave for another four years
Florida-based Villa Vie Residences announced the real cruise package to get away from Trump. “(Starting) from just under $40,000 a year” you can travel around the world and completely avoid Trump, the sequel. This is the “4-Year Skip Forward” package.
Their press release states: “The extraordinary Continual World Cruise invites travelers to experience more than 425 ports in more than 140 countries on all seven continents as it circumnavigates the globe every three and a half years.” For over $160,000 you can see the world and avoid Trump, but you’d better pray to Gaia that JD Vance doesn’t win in 2028. And be sure to pack a supply of seasickness pills for a lifetime, just in case.
