Entertainment programming for the commemorative parade of Pāʻū and Hōʻolauʻa of Nā Kamehameha has been released. The Hōʻolauʻa takes place at the Queen Ka’humanu center after the Pāʻū parade on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
This year’s celebration begins at 9:45 a.m. with the Pāʻū parade on Ka’humanu avenue, from HP Baldwin High School and ends in the Queen Ka’humanu center. The parade will present the beauty of the Pāʻū runners representing each Hawaiian island, cultural tanks, community organizations and businesses. The show stations of the parade will be located on rue Mahalani, avenue Papa, Wākea avenue and two locations at the Queen Ka’humanu Center.
Immediately after the parade, the festivities continue at Queen Ka’humanu Center with the Hōʻolauʻa – a free and family celebration with MELE, HULA and Cultural demonstrations until 5 p.m.
Highlights of entertainment programming:
- Kaniala Masoe – won the Island Idol competition in 2018 and a local favorite
- Antonio Robles – 2024 Richard Hoʻopiʻi Leo Kiekie Falsetto Champion Contest
- Mark Yamanaka – Multi-nā hōkū hano-awarded artist of Hawai’i Island
- Hālau kekuaokalā’au’iliahi – under the direction of Nā Kumu Hula ‘Iliahi and Haunani Paredes
- Hālau Keala Kahinano o Puna – With Kumu Joy Salvador, firmly the day with Hula
HAS 1:45 p.m.THE Pāʻū and parade award ceremony Will take place on stage – a chance to encourage riders and units that work hard to give life to this historical tradition.
The event is filled with Aloha, honoring Ali’i, and celebrating the lasting culture and spirit of Hawaii. The Hōʻolauʻa commemorative of Nā Kamehameha 2025 is free and open to the public.

TIME: Fence from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; The parade starts at 9:45 am, hōʻolauʻa to follow until 5:00 p.m.
