2 people seriously injured after carriage accidents in Oxford County: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police say two people were seriously injured after a car crashed into a horse-drawn carriage Norwich Township Friday afternoon.

Ontario Provincial Police officers were called to Oxford Road 13 around 4 p.m. for reports of a collision between a passenger vehicle and a horse-drawn carriage.

Police said two people in the vehicle were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The lone person in the passenger vehicle did not suffer any injuries during the accident.

Police say the horse died at the scene and the investigation is continuing.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Oxford OPP or Crime Stoppers.
