THE Calgary Fire Department confirms firefighters discovered one person dead after responding to a call carbon monoxide call Tuesday shortly after noon.
CFD spokeswoman Carol Henke said firefighters were called to the 900 block of Taradale Drive, Northeast, at 12:10 p.m.
When they arrived, they discovered three people in the house and the body of a deceased person.
According to emergency medical services, three patients were transported to hospital in stable condition, while the fourth person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Calgary police confirm in a statement to Global News that the death is believed to be the result of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Police said they were called to the same residence Monday (Dec. 2, 2024) for a welfare check, and while they were unable to speak with residents, that call was also believed to be carbon monoxide related.
In their statement, police said they were continuing their investigation, but the death did not appear to be a criminal matter.
The Calgary Fire Department said an autopsy will also be performed to confirm the cause of death.
